This quarter, we're celebrating the incredible progress of our mothers at Mercy's Shore. Through our educational programs, they're not only gaining valuable skills but also building a brighter future for themselves and their families.

We're proud to share updates on our mothers' educational journeys:

Amberlee, a creative force, is working towards her Associate's degree in Graphic Design. With her newfound skills, she's looking forward to building a career in the creative industry.

Priscilla, driven by her passion for helping others, has just started her program in Social Work. Her goal is to become a dedicated social worker, making a real difference in her community.

Emily, dedicated to her dream, is working towards becoming a Phlebotomist. With her new skills, she'll be able to provide essential healthcare services to her community.

These women, and many more like them, are inspiring us every day with their resilience and determination. Their progress is a testament to the power of education and the impact it can have on their lives and the lives of their families.

Soaring forward:

The mothers in our program are engaged in a meaningful journey that supports them in reclaiming their lives and moving forward beyond the challenges of addiction.

Wednesday Bible Study: Spiritual Growth and Healing
Every Wednesday evening, our mothers come together for a powerful Bible study and 12-step program. This time of reflection and growth is essential for their spiritual renewal and personal healing.

Household Organization: A Skill for a New Life
Our mothers are taking their first steps towards a new life, and they're learning the importance of household organization. This skill will help them manage their new responsibilities and create a stable home environment for themselves and their families.

By embracing both our faith and practical skills, our mothers are building a firm foundation for a new beginning. Thank you for joining us, and may you continue to be inspired on your own journeys.

Celebrating Lisa: Happy Birthday!

This month, we came together to celebrate our remarkable Resident Manager, Lisa!

Her unwavering support and dedication have made a significant impact on the lives of the mothers and children in our community. Lisa embodies the spirit of compassion and commitment, and her efforts do not go unnoticed. 

To honor her special day, we organized a heartfelt gathering. Families at Mercy's Shore joined forces to create an atmosphere brimming with laughter, love, and delightful birthday cake, all in Lisa's honor. Appreciation for her tireless work flowed freely, highlighting just how much she means to everyone at Mercy's Shore.

We truly cannot thank you enough! Here’s to you, Lisa, and to many more years of making a difference at Mercy's Shore!

Welcome Tiona Broadnax, Our New Case Manager!

Please join us in welcoming Tiona Broadnax, our new Case Manager, to the Mercy's Shore team!

Tiona is 29 years old and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in counseling. Originally from Indiana, she has valuable experience serving individuals with mental health and disability issues. Tiona has been in Dallas for a couple of years and is a follower of Jesus Christ. 

We're excited to have her on board and look forward to the positive impact she'll have on our families.
